The Honourable Chief Justice Chanakarn Theeravechpolkul
President of the Supreme Court of Thailand

 

Chief Justice Chanakarn Theeravechpolkul has been appointed as the 50th President of the Supreme Court of Thailand.

Chief Justice Theeravechpolkul graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Thammasat University. She also completed the Barrister-at-Law requirements of the Institute of Legal Education, Thai Bar Association under the Royal Patronage.

 

Prior to her appointment as President, Chief Justice Theeravechpolkul served as President of the Juvenile and Family Case Division of the Supreme Court.

 

Throughout her illustrious career, she held various esteemed positions in the Court of Justice of Thailand, including Vice – President of the Court of Appeal Regions IX, Vice – President of the Court of Appeal for Specialized Cases and Deputy Chief Justice of the Bangkok South Civil Court.

 

Presently, Chief Justice Theeravechpolkul also holds the positions of Chairman of the Judicial Commission, Chairman of the Judicial Administration Commission, President of the Thai Bar under the Royal Patronage and Chairman of ASEAN Law Association (ALA) National Committee of Thailand.
