The training at LTON Law http://lgtonlaw.com/ will examine (1) the legal and regulatory environment that produced the highly successful Philippine Government program to undertake public infrastructure projects through public-private partnerships (PPP), and (2) the lawyer’s role during each stage of the PPP project cycle, namely, project identification, project preparation, project approval, partner selection, and project implementation. The training will be led by the former head (executive director with rank of undersecretary, equivalent to a deputy minister) of the Philippine Government’s PPP advisory center.
By the end of the training, a trainee is expected to be able to (1) describe the lawyer’s role in a PPP project, and (2) compare the Philippine legal and regulatory framework for PPPs with her/his home country’s framework.
