The 7th ALA Championship Golf Tournament was held on 25 July 2010 at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club in Jakarta, Indonesia. This newest golf club in Jakarta boasts a landscaped 27-hole golf course, and is located 15 minutes from Central Jakarta. Royale Jakarta Golf Club was the first club in Asia to use the newest generation of Paspalum grass.
The day of the tournament saw excellent conditions – good, fair weather and fast consistent greens. Participants from three ASEAN countries, namely Malaysia, Singapore and host Indonesia took part in the competition under a nett strokeplay format. The Honourable Chief Justice Dr Harifin A Tumpa of Indonesia kicked off the start of the tournament.
Mr Sudarmaji of Indonesia won the best nett score prize with a nett score of 60. In the Ladies Division, Ms Lim Siew Kuan of Singapore emerged victorious with a nett score of 71.
Mr Bambang of Indonesia won the best gross score prize with a gross score of 79 on the par 72 course. Host Indonesia emerged the team champion, winning the Tun Dzaiddin Challenge trophy with the best combined score from her top 5 players.
