On the morning of Friday, 20 July 2007, ALA golfers from 4 other ASEAN countries and from host Indonesia participated in the ALA Invitational Golf Tournament held at the Rancamaya Golf and Country Club, in Bogor, West Java.  The tournament was held in conjunction with the ALA Governing Council meeting in Jakarta on 21 July 2007.  Located 450 meters above sea level, Rancamaya offered dramatic views of Mt. Salak, Mt. Pangrango and Bogor City.  The ALA golfers enjoyed the competitive round on a challenging and beautifully landscaped course.  The playing conditions were ideal, with excellent weather, and crisp and refreshing mountain air. 

The Guest of Honour, Chief Justice Prof Bagir Manan of Indonesia, a non-golfer, hit the traditional first tee shot to kickstart the tournament.  Attorney-General Hendarman Supandji of Indonesia, a non-golfer, also graced the occasion.  Foreign and local dignitaries participating in the tournament included retired Chief Justice Artemio V Panganiban of the Philippines, Justices Quisumbing and Velasco of the Philippines Supreme Court, and Deputy Chief Justice Abdul Kadir Mappong and Justice Mansur Kartayasa of Indonesia.  Prominent ALA office holders participating included Attorney-General Dato Seri Paduka Hj Kifrawi Bin Dato Paduka Hj Kifli (Chairman ALA Brunei Darussalam), Federal Court Justice Dato' Haji Hashim bin Dato' Haji Yusoff (Chairman ALA Malaysia), Justice Lee Seiu Kin (Chairman ALA Singapore), Justice Dato' James Foong of the Malaysian Court of Appeal (ALA Golf Captain), Atty Avelino V Cruz (Chairman ALA Philippines), Atty Salvador C Medialdea (Secretary-General of the ALA Golf Chapter) and Mr Charles Lim (past ALA Secretary General).

Atty Jeremy Parulan of the Philippines won the best gross score prize while Bp Andy Manik of Indonesia won the overall best nett prize.  In the B Division, Bp Sudibyo Saleh, former Deputy Attorney-General of Indonesia emerged victorious while Justice Velasco of the Philippines came in second.  ALA Golf Captain Justice Dato Foong came in third in the C Division.  In the Ladies Division, Ibu Abdul Kadir Mappong (wife of Indonesian Deputy Chief Justice) emerged the winner.  Mr Puspalingam of Malaysia won the prize for longest drive.
